Hello world!
I have a valid CP2 Mac licence and currently a full-time student. I'd like to upgrade to CP3 Win.
Purchase page is a bit convoluted. What are my options if I want (ideally) the "Meta" version?
P.S. Hope this is an appropriate forum for this question, please feel free to move the topic if it's not.
Upgrade to CP3

Yes, the Lounge is fine.
Depending on when you bought CP2, you may qualify for a free upgrade to CP3 Base.
For Meta, however, the best option is still Student Meta for 2 at €129, as it is cheaper than any upgrade path.
If you do not have another student to share it with, just buy it yourself and I will provide Meta access for both Windows and Mac for personal, non-commercial use.

That would be fantastic! I can then upgrade to Meta later for the same €129. I will PM you my registration data.C.Oldendorf wrote: Mon Jul 20, 2026 2:01 pm Depending on when you bought CP2, you may qualify for a free upgrade to CP3 Base.

All 2.x purchases after October 23rd 2024 get elevated to Base (free)
Hello.
I am an occasional user of color perfect, I think for more than ten years. I would like to know the new options in version 3, but I can't find videos that invite me to update to this version. I normally use it to scan my portfolio, which includes black and white and color negatives and countless slides in 4x5" 6x7cm formats,
6x6cm and 35mm. Which I scan on the Epson Perfection V750 Pro, and the Prime film XA, using Vuescan. I would like to know what my upgrade options are, from what I have read, it is not clear to me the differences between One step, two steps, base and pro.
I also couldn't recover when I purchased version 2 and thus know what the update costs me. Can you help me with this? Thanks in advance, I'm really looking forward to playing version 3.

I posted but one video with the new UI:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RQBFGzoPReE
From what you write CP3 Base will be a good start. You do not digitize per camera which is what CP3 DC is all about and the Meta files are for advanced user's needs. I wrote about them here: https://www.colorperfect.com/cp3_meta.html?lang=en, CP3 Pro brings macOS and Windows licenses in one key as well as commercial use for 3 year terms. I'd go with the Base option for starters I think.
That was on June 24th 2014 and thus a decade before the grace period of free upgrades to CP3 Base. Hence the regular Upgrade Options for ColorPerfect 2.x license holders apply: Old key to Base (€69), DC (€129), Meta (€199) and in 2026 any old key upgrade to Meta gets Pro free as per https://www.colorperfect.com/purchase-colorperfect/ramirox3 wrote: Thu Aug 13, 2026 9:08 pm I also couldn't recover when I purchased version 2 and thus know what the update costs me.
