I am a Chinese photographer currently living in Japan, mainly working with film photography. Besides my personal projects, I also run a studio where I work with both analog and digital workflows.

I am very interested in joining the ColorPerfect 3 early access program. Since I frequently work with film negatives and scans in my professional workflow, I believe CP3 could greatly improve my efficiency and color accuracy. I would also be glad to share feedback and suggestions from my real-world use.

It’s great to see someone working actively with film in both personal and professional contexts. Since you already have scanning and negatives at the center of your workflow, I think you’ll find ColorPerfect 3 a very natural fit. You mentioned efficiency and color accuracy: that really is the heart of what we’re aiming for with this release.

A quick note from my side: I’m currently buried in some fairly deep code work related to macOS 26 and UI adjustments, so I may be a little slower than usual on the forum. But I’ll follow up with you by email shortly to get you set up for early access.

In terms of workflow: whether you’re coming from scanner output or camera-based reproduction, the idea behind ColorPerfect is to get you as close as possible to a faithful digital representation of the negative itself. Once that’s in place, all the creative freedom you want is open to you.

I’m very glad you reached out and look forward to your feedback from real-world projects. Contributions from working studios are especially valuable since they show how the tools hold up under pressure.
