Hello everyone!
I am a photographer from Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China, who is passionate about film photography. I feel unsatisfied with the color removal mask during negative film scanning. I hope to use ColorPerfect 3 to solve the problem I encountered. Thank you!

Great to see someone joining us from Chengdu. It’s always encouraging when photographers from different parts of the world bring their perspective to film work. The issue you mention with the orange mask is often quoted as the key difficulty in color negative inversion — but in reality it’s just a trivial first step. In our universe it is automatically handled by ColorPerfect and not even worth further notice. The initial challenges may lie in understanding the input data and encoding, setting ColorNeg mode up correctly for what one has in that regard, and becoming familiar with the many options we have for digitally printing our negatives. Once you get the hang of it, you will be amazed at what ColorPerfect — and ColorNeg in particular — can do.

At the moment I’m tied up with some very time-consuming adjustments for the ColorPerfect interface on the newest macOS release. Because of that my own presence on the forum is a little limited, but I will reach out to you by email shortly and help get you set up for ColorPerfect 3. We already have several members from the Chinese-speaking ColorPerfect community, so I’m sure you’ll find like-minded people here to exchange experiences with. One of the reasons I set up this forum was to make it easier to share and exchange large files, which often helps everyone in understanding and exploring the potential of Complete Color Integrity.
