RAW-Share Subforum — Default License 1.0TL;DR
• Only upload your own work (or with rights to do so).
• Personal use for forum users: Download, learn, test, and post derivatives here (incl. before/after & cross-software comparisons).
• C F Systems use: Christoph Oldendorf / C F Systems may use originals and derivatives to develop, document, demonstrate, and market present/future image-editing solutions (e.g., ColorPerfect, successors).
• No resale / no direct revenue from the photo itself; sub-licensing only as needed to enable the above; any technical/editorial modifications permitted.
• Irrevocable grant. Takedowns only for proven third-party rights violations; liability rests with the poster.
• Metadata is your job: We do not strip RAWs.
• Storage: Attachments can be removed; no hosting guarantees.
• Optional public license: Allowed if not more restrictive than this baseline.
1) Scope & Definitions
- Uploader = person posting the original.
- Image(s) = RAW + companion files/sidecars.
- Derivative(s) = any edit/rendering/crop/comparison/composite posted in this subforum.
- C F Systems = Christoph Oldendorf, C F Systems, and any brand/software/channel they operate or authorize, incl. current and future image-editing solutions.
- Download Image(s) for personal study, testing, learning.
- Create Derivatives for those purposes.
- Post Derivatives in this subforum, incl. before/after and cross-software comparisons.
- Derivatives created from RAWs in this subforum may also be posted elsewhere on the forum to illustrate discussions, comparisons, or workflows — always with credit to the original Uploader.
- No use outside this forum unless the Uploader explicitly adds a broader public license (e.g. Creative Commons) or gives individual permission.
- Credit the Uploader (handle) where feasible; treat depicted people respectfully (no shaming/disparagement).
- Use Image(s) and Derivatives (by anyone in this subforum) in any medium to develop, test, support, document, demonstrate, and market C F Systems’ image-editing solutions (present/future).
- Side-by-side / before-after comparisons (positive or negative) are explicitly allowed in this context.
- Limits: No resale of Image(s)/Derivatives; no uses that generate direct revenue from the photo itself (prints, stock, merch). Sub-licensing only as necessary to enable the above. All technical/editorial modifications permitted, incl. full RAW development and transformations. Credit given where reasonably feasible.
- This grant is irrevocable.
- Takedowns occur only for proven third-party rights violations (stolen images, non-consensual depictions, etc.).
- If such an image already appeared in C F Systems demos/docs/videos, any compensation/liability rests with the original poster, not C F Systems.
- Uploaders are solely responsible for reviewing/removing GPS, serial numbers, copyright fields, or other metadata before upload.
- The forum does not strip or sanitize RAW files.
- Attachments may be removed by moderators at any time for technical, legal, or capacity reasons.
- No guarantees of perpetual hosting (intent is long-term, but not assured).
- You may add a public license (CC or custom). It must not be more restrictive than this baseline.
- If there’s a conflict, this Default License controls.
- Example line to add: “Additional public license: CC BY-SA 4.0 (in addition to the forum Default License).”
- All licenses are non-exclusive; no payment is owed.
- These terms supplement the general forum rules.
- Governing law/jurisdiction: German law; Hesse; Bad Sooden-Allendorf.
