Hello everyone,
I am an art student majoring in photography, and I have just finished the physical installation of my graduation exhibition. I'm excited to present my project: Falling into the Shadow of the Mountain.
The core of this project explores the relationship between life and the earth, utilizing the geological landscapes of my hometown, Baotou, as fragmented visual slices.
Since shooting a project of this scale entirely on film is prohibitively expensive for a student budget, I had to rely on a hybrid approach—shooting with both digital cameras and analog film.
I won't bore you with a long, step-by-step technical breakdown of my workflow. However, the biggest challenge of this hybrid method was maintaining a cohesive aesthetic. This is where ColorPerfect 3 became absolutely essential for me.
Instead of treating digital and film as two separate worlds, CP3 allowed me to unify the subtle color transitions and the specific geological atmosphere across both mediums. When these images were finally printed in large format and mounted on the gallery walls, the visual consistency was exactly what I had envisioned.
For those interested in the environment and the process, I’ve uploaded a short POV behind-the-scenes video of my shooting process here:

A huge thank you to Christoph for his incredible support and for creating a tool that truly respects the artist's aesthetic intent.
Best,
Kuangshanting

Well done!
This is a serious subject, and only CP colors—which I, in fact, call “serious colors”—can do justice to the stone, the earth, and the sky.
