Hello, it's an interesting shot but a 16b Tiff file would be definitively better than a 8b GIF.

A test on the +2EV, -2Ev to be tested too. Canon 5D seems to be a good gear to scan negtaives.

A try on your files. The sky over the church has a purple cast, could it be an ultraviolet issue or is it a problem with the Lumix lens?

A try on your files. The Nikon scanner seems a little purple in the sky but the concrete wall look warmer and better for me.
